Since we taped our show yesterday where Eliot and I chewed over the situation in the Red Sea, there have been some interesting developments worth noting. Perhaps the most important is that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia belatedly began using air power to stymie the Houthi advance and, according to the invaluable updates by the Institute for the Study of War (ISW) they have with their proxy forces, at least for the moment, stabilized the front lines and according to Emirati press accounts may have inflicted heavy casualties on the Houthis. The latter, however, retain their control of the coastline and the vital maritime chokepoint.
